About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Sales Account Executive to join the global subscriptions commercial team reporting into and supporting the Key Account Manager.

You will be an ambitious sales account executive ready to support our key accounts growth plans for 2022 and beyond, by fostering existing relationships, hunting new contacts, and driving new business opportunities within these major global accounts.

The first year of the role will include a mixture of learning the sectors we operate in (agricultural commodities & specialty chemicals); market research; lead generation and hunting cross-sell opportunities.

The second year will be same as above with an additional sales target and ownership of own key accounts.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a specialised sector within the agricultural commodities market and become an industry specialist.

You will be confident building relationships over the phone, on video calls and face-to-face with our diverse and international subscription base. You will thrive on working with a wide variety of stakeholders – with customers and internally within the business. You must have a highly collaborative, proactive style and love learning new things.

Key responsibilities
• You will be responsible for supporting renewal conversations on annual key account subscriptions
• Provide training on product set through online and face to face meetings
• Increase client engagement and uncover white space in global clients
• Self-sourcing leads using multiple channels
• Working towards KPIs and objectives which are set by the manager and making high volume cold calls
• Ensuring data is cleansed and accurately log all calls on the CRM system
• Making quality appointments for Key Account Manager to promote our databases
• Participating in any training and take personal responsibility for self-development
• Be open to performing other tasks as the manager and business requires including market research, competitor profiling, lead generation,

Required experience, skills and behaviours
• An excellent persuasive telephone manner is essential as is the ability to confidently communicate at all levels
• Be target driven and hungry to succeed
• Outbound sales experience (B2B sales experience preferred)
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Proactive self-starter with good conversational skills
• Results driven, commercial mindset
• A curious person, with a problem solver mindset
• Confident working with internal & external stakeholders including high value clients
• Good attention to detail and time management

Desirable experience and skills
• Degree in scientific subject
• Experience using Salesforce for CRM – taking responsibility for data and business processes to ensure information is accurate
• Previous experience in client engagement or customer success
• Other languages than English
