Marketing Operations Assistant – AgriBriefing Europe

London, UK

By 2050 there will be an estimated 9 billion people to feed on the planet: they will need protein, they will demand more choice, and they will insist it is delivered in a sustainable manner. Agribusinesses around the world need to connect with one another and share data, news, insight and analysis that will help their companies survive and evolve to meet the needs of the consumer and our planet.

AgriBriefing supports an international community of agribusiness professionals, operating across multiple sectors of the value chain to improve yields, purchase more effectively and build better businesses. Across AgriBriefing’s market intelligence businesses we provide the independent benchmarks around which agricultural inputs and produce are traded. Over 500,000 professionals in 150 countries rely on our publications, information services and events to make business decisions worth hundreds of billions of dollars.

We have offices in London, Paris, Toulouse and Toms River, NJ and this role is based in central London.

The role:
We are seeking a diligent and analytical Marketing Operations Assistant to support the marketing, sales, and events teams at AgriBriefing Europe, across our market intelligence services of Feedinfo and Stratégie Grains, and our industry leading conferences and communities for Feedinfo and Women in Food and Agriculture.

This role will suit someone at the start of their data or marketing operations career and will sit within the marketing team and focus on analytics, data research and software support. The team will rely on you to monitor, report on, and provide recommendations on our database and how our contacts interact with our sales and marketing activity. Data comes from our own customer management databases plus online marketing campaigns, Google Analytics and desk-based research.

Although you will receive training and support, you’ll need to be proactive, always looking for ways to improve and make our data work harder for our different products and services. Our audience is niche so we don’t have tonnes of data, instead the skills needed here are as much qualitative as quantitative and you’ll need to enjoy delving into detail to provide the best possible information on our contacts for our business.

Salesforce is at the heart of our operation and the role will include some light system administration related to the data. This will include working on issues reported by colleagues relating to their data, building new reports and keeping our records as clean as possible . You’ll be trained by Salesforce experts on how to use the system and make the most of its tools.

AgriBriefing is a fast moving, entrepreneurial group and you’ll need a hands-on attitude to getting things done. We are a friendly, non-hierarchical team and you should be confident asking questions and making suggestions to all your stakeholders. You must have a highly collaborative, proactive style and love learning new things and dealing with change. You can’t hide behind email, you’ll need to enjoy face to face and telephone communication too.
